Frequently Asked Questions

Standard panels check a narrow set of markers against broad population reference ranges. Being in range does not mean you are at optimal levels for how your body personally functions. Comprehensive biomarker testing evaluates a wider panel within a tighter, clinically optimal window. Many of our patients arrive with normal labs and very real symptoms. More complete testing almost always explains why.

For most patients, a full baseline panel followed by a repeat assessment every six to twelve months is appropriate. If you are actively following a treatment protocol, more frequent targeted retesting helps us track your response and fine-tune the plan. Frequency depends on what we are monitoring and how stable your levels are.

Standard labs are often partially covered by insurance. More specialized panels, such as micronutrient testing, food sensitivity panels, or advanced hormonal profiles, are typically not covered and are offered at transparent cash-pay rates. We will always be upfront about costs before ordering anything.

It depends on which markers are being tested. Fasting is required for accurate glucose, insulin, and lipid panels. Hormone panels and most micronutrient tests do not require fasting. We will give you specific preparation instructions based on the tests your physician orders.
